Thanks smurfy.. I think one of the few not going on about apples!
I’ve had to take a complete step off as that no cook porridge the other day put me off all food totally! blurgh!
BUT now I’m back on normal – pre-diet food and healthifying all our already pretty healthy meals.
Thanks Bron but I find that hard to believe (with respect!).
Meat makes me feel heavy and tired.. like bread. I believe we’re to eat meat sometimes but mostly veg, fruit, grains and fish.
(at the both of you!)
I love healthy food, but I think I’ve just found what my limits are.
I do still find myself unsatisfied with options for kids breakfast. No cereal is ever low GI or tasty enough.
School canteens think that a “healthy snack” is jelly with 2 mandarin segments in the entire cup.
There has to be a tasty and better…[Read more]
I think this diet is much much higher in nutrients than a regular diet with the myriad of grains, seeds, oils, veg, bla blaaaaah!
My bowels are ok 🙂 The only difference from our usual diet is no dairy, no meat, VERY low GI and a change in bread.. I think I’ll try and tweek my existing fav recipes.
I’m proud of myself for going…[Read more]
We had to get rid of our little tucker box freezer when we moved – no room! So I’ve taken to can things. Not much but I’d like to look more into cooked sauces. My sauces only have like a 3rd of meat anyway.. the rest is grated cooked veg and beans.
Some recipes would be great!
Oh Imarni I love your blog. The pics and info are inspiring!
I want a bath pond!
Oh that’s a yes from me Dan
What the heck is going on in this thread? I’ve got a soap conversation then all of a sudden it’s Ernhoff’s injury.. ?!
Anyway, tell me about your goat milk soap. Is it fresh milk? what are the oils used? Can you do oat and honey? do you use essential oils?
Looking for an experienced soap maker for the co-opstop(s) along the NSW coast.
We don’t…[Read more]
I have a caution.. Grapefruit, extract or anything from a grapefruit has the ability to increase the power of medications. My Dad was told to avoid grapefruit or anything with it’s oil/extract in when he started taking medication for Cancer 13 or so years ago.
His specialist was well aware of it’s remarkable power and obvious…[Read more]
I blog to save my friends from mind numbing topics like fermentation, my bad soil condition at the new place, information about what treats I like to make for others and to stop saying.. “you know! (babble on about something I find interesting that my friends don’t and stare at me blankly)
I have way too many things in my head and don’t get…[Read more]
Oh just to add, the last supplier didn’t like us because we wanted no colour or fragrance at all. She told me their “naked” bars would be white with glitter….
Hey Hamish! Where are you? I’ve a network of voluntary co-ops and we’re trying to get a new GMS supplier. The last one got greedy.. compromised quality and down the toilet they went (not the soaps!).
Then there’s another supplier who is small scale but she has great soap, though they’re ashy and don’t look all that appealing.
Could you please…[Read more]
Wouldn’t it be marvelous if money pumped into research to determine what actually causes it. It’s not a skin problem, it’s a whole body problem that presents on the skin.
Maybe this is my nobel prize in 10 years time!
Thanks Gabriel! Answers are always better for the horses mouth!
What’s so unfriendly about Bucciereli? C’mon! Get inventive… 😆
Don’t forget to introduce yourself on the “introduce yourself” thread if you fancy sticking around. ALS-ers are largely a nice lot 🙂
I know what you mean, not to mention the sleepless nights.
I just took a look at the website. It’s rather interesting how he’s managed to retail all the nutrients with his “secret method” 🙂
Ok Gianna, I’ve confirmed with Gabriel at Amphore. The ingredients to the Rosehip creme:
Whole-leaf aloe, certified organic rosehip oil & 2% edible plant sourced lecithin.
So yes, you were right, it has that extra ingredient of lecithin.
On the bottle it says:
70% stripped aloe leaf and 30% rosehip oil – emulsified together. Lasts a year.
I’ve emailed the guy to confirm and explain.
He’s at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to ask stuff too.
I’ve just looked at the site again and that new Rosehip creme is just Aloe 70% and Rosehip 30%. Insanely simple!
You can order online and then he’ll send you samples of other stuff and a discount if you register first.
These people are awesome.
