Oh Luvin
I do have a lot of handmade magazines.I am full of a heavy head cold tho at this moment, tho may find it a good excuse to go out to bungalow and ‘get lost’ in my craft mags
Is it just the stitchery pattern or bag design also?🙂

Just got off the phone to insurance co. as i couldn’t believe what I had heard
Apparently I can have chooks and be insured, as long as I don’t sell the eggs.
I did ask that they speak to the chap who told me to cook my chooks for sunday roast to get up to speed on the policies -

Chooks are classed as Livestock. They could get out..my dear 3 old gals and cause a raucous on the road and cause a 3 car pile up
The kind man did suggest I cook a sunday roast this weekend and solve the problem 😐
This is one of the better known insurance companies

Well I guess I got the answer I was really hoping for. Ya can’t eat Gold. It won’t keep me warm at night.
Hubby and I are stocking what we can, as much as we can. Guess I started this post after I had checked on my kids peacefully sleeping in them warm beds, bellies full, dreaming wonderful happy dreams, while I looked on at them in a moment of…[Read more] -

Thanks for the site Deb. Me thinks I could waste many hours on that site. I will try baking tomorrow, and let you know how it went Rush. Iduna now that dosen’t sound like a bad idea on top of the pumpkin soup…maybe then my kids would eat the soup
Thanks

McIvor Rd…turns into the McIvor Highway. Nice little park over the road for the kids to run off some energy. Just gotta sketch those dates into my diary…tho I am trying not to spend money 🙁

replied to the topic Can I use seeds from commercial pumpkins? in the forum Vegetables 10 years, 11 months ago
I have a ‘rogue’ pumpkin vine at the moment, must have been store bought and the pumpkins are huge..40cm across at least and my 6mo likes ’em. The vine has grown all the way under the hills hoist so it is even a struggle to get the nappies out to dry in the fresh air lol.
I’d say give ’em a go….what have you got to lose  -

replied to the topic What to do with dead earwigs? in the forum Vegetables 11 years, 2 months ago
I do have some chooks but don’t seem to be interested in oily earwigs, so I got hold of an engine oil funnel today so can seperate the wigs from the oil. I will leave the wigs to dry and re-use the water/oil. Maybe the chooks or wildlife would prefer their wiggys sun-dried…thanks

Oh my Lordy. Our Araucana laid her first blue egg yesterday in 9 months also!!
Must be some sort of conspiracy going on between these hens 😉
We have 4 hens and all lay different coloured eggs so I can monitor who is/isn’t doing what
Congratulations Mt Ben :metal::metal: -

Try Goat Soap. I have never needed it but I have heard it’s great. Billy Goat soap is made by a mother who has kids with eczema problems

Spent alot of time telling my unborn bub that he/she is officially a full-term bub in 1 week and that he/she is most welcome to arrive then rather than another 4-5 week wait like older siblings:confused:.
I am allowed to watch hubby build our first wicking bed (he is currently at recycling yard looking for odds n sods for the garden) but if I even…[Read more] -

Hi Lizzie
Possibly as far as garden beds go, maybe you could just try garden beds of chicken wire. I’ve noticed wicking bed designs with chicken wire edging, a few wood or steel pickets and straw. May not last more than a season or two but that would be great compost next season as you don’t want to start too big too soon. I use Cornocopia…[Read more] -

Out to cover the chook run and every nook and cranny with bird netting. The sparrows hear the feed bin open and they are there like thieves :@ Let you know if we are successful
