  • Hey I had heaps of these last year. if you put soapy water in a spray bottle and spray it on them (they seem to come out to bask in the morning sun at the top of my broad beans. also the kids think this is fun as long as you let them know that the bugs are the only thing that get sprayed!!!! My chooks won’t eat them and I don’t blame them!

  • yes gives me something to think about at least really appreciate your advice! thanks!

  • Hi Epiphany,

I am in the dandenongs so do you think it is too cold up here? It is in a nice sunny spot and i have fertilized and mulched it well. If you have any…[Read more]

I agree bron once one kid has them and then passes them on to the next its hard to know where they are coming from my son went through a phase in about grade one where it just seemed constant – and I could actually see them as he has really fine hair. Hey thanks everyone, I have already got my first question answered – I guess half the time its floating your ideas and getting someone to say yeah go ahead and try it rather than actual advice! I am hoping to be able to answer someone elses question in return!:D

  • I had read this suggestion and am worried about them escaping futher afield plus the frequency of mowing in my yard is probably not high enough to discourage them!!!!

  • a foot deep is much more acheivable than the whole way down! I might put one of the little ones in the barrel and see how it goes compared to the in ground ones. Thanks for your feedback!
