Our rainfall has been up and down this year. It went from extremely dry in September to very wet in October.
The high rain in March was from the remnants of Cyclone Debbie. -

Should fire this thread up again. We had a couple of visitors today, they came right up to the house. We live in town so wallabies arenโt that common.
This looks like a mum and her teenager. -

Iโve been impulse buying. I shouldnโt call into a nursery on a whim.

Hi AUSSIEDOWNUNDER, you have to use the direct link for photobucket i.e. without the URLs or img tags. http ://i956.photobucket.com/albums/ae46/millys7700/001_9.jpg (without the space after http)http://i956.photobucket.com/albums/ae46/millys7700/001_9.jpg

ballamara, my fandangle gadget tells porkies so I also rely on the old rain gauge. It seems to agree with the BOM readings so that gives me confidence in my figures. ๐
The electronic rain gauges are prone to spiders building webs inside and slowing up the tipping mechanism (like a seesaw). -

My 2015 rainfall total was 928.8mm compared to 582.3mm in 2014. A big difference!

You weren’t kicked out calliecat but the majority of the group over there don’t realise how good this forum once was. I think many of them are a new generation.

Hi ballamara, I really don’t know, maybe you could send her a pm? I’m sure she would answer if she still visits here.
Andre says he only went back to October and banned/blocked/deleted 103 spammers. I think he might go further back in time when he has some time. ๐

The site should be a bit cleaner now and the spammers shown the door. Andre sorted them for us. ๐

I asked on the Facebook group for you the other day. I’m an admin over there but not here. I will ask again.

Hi Tracey, welcome to the forum. There is a search box on the top left on my iPad, not sure if it is the same on the phone.
Anyway, this is a link for a search on “tree ferns” so you should just be able to click on it.

They sure are edible. I like them but many people turn their nose up at them as a vegetable. I think they find them a bit bland. They are sort of deciduous but don’t like frost. I think many people start new plants each year although they will come back from the previous year for a number of years. I believe they are even used as a substitute for…[Read more]
