Thankyou all for the suggestions. I will look around for an alternative to the straw I am using because it sounds like it harbours some unwanted pests.
Yes, they have finally stopped sneezing. I have cleaned the water containers out of antibiotics now that they have had the course for the stipulated 5 days. Back to garlic in the water now. They have shellgrit as well. Lets hope it all goes well now.
Hi Mumchook & Kookaburra Dreaming,
I have tried nearly all of the remedies suggested, to no avail. Please don’t hate me but I have had to resort to western medicine and I am now trying anti biotics. I just want the girls to be better. It is very frustrating.
Also, I rang the produce store I bought the girls from and asked them about the fact they…[Read more]
THANKYOU Mumchook for your very generous response. I do however have a rather dumb question:confused: and that is how does one administer echinacea and garlic to fussy girls who have the run of the backyard during the day.
Thanks again for such an informative response

You can get single to 3 phase converters, BUT most equipment…[Read more]

Thankyou, you guys are a wealth of knowledge. I am glad to have stumbled upon this site. I will now go and pray to the chicken god and hope that they start laying soon 😀
Thankyou to all who have provided me with some advice. I will continue to ask the girls nicely for some eggs every night when I lock the aviary . Maybe that will work 😀
I will have to practice some patience I guess. And thankyou for the welcome :shy:
