I do the “No dig” thing. Just cut the plants at the base once the seeding is over and put into the compost. The roots will decompose in the ground.

I use lemon juice (when there is excess) instead of bleach. Works quite well as long as you don’t let the mould get too bad.

I am growing Soap-wort. It is getting close to the stage where I will be able to harvest some to make shampoo. I was wondering if anyone has tried it? and can it be used in other ways eg as a hand wash etc?

Thanks for the suggestions :D. I will have to try a worm farm. I have been putting small amounts of onion and citrus in the compost. I have read that it deters earth worms though.
