I wouldn’t take a 50cc on a 100km/hr road, particularly one carrying heavy vehicles. They are better suited to slower 60km/hr sorta speeds. I’d advise looking for something that can do the speed limit of the roads you’ll be traveling (even if you don’t travel at those speeds).
I ride a 150cc and that can manage 107km/hr with a tail wind (90km/hr…[Read more]

I have ridden a scooter for maybe 10 years now. I think it’s certainly doable but would recommend a scooter with a bit of oomph if possible – one that can keep up with traffic if required (sometimes it feels safer to do that). It also means you have a bit of power up your sleeve to get yourself into safer positions.
Key ingredients to safe…[Read more]

I like to cut them into round 1-2cm thick slices. Pan fry then top with pizza-like toppings or just a bit of ham & cheese and grill for a few minutes.

You could also try contacting your local vet for suggestions. A friend used some kind of stinky skunk-smelling product to put around the perimeter and ward off cats (not noticeable to humans after a few hours I think).

From what I’ve read coverage seems limited to capital cities at the moment.

We have just adopted a guinea pig too! He’s an older chap who needed a new home as his previous family could no longer care for him. He’s now living a life of luxury in a C&C cage in our loungeroom where he’s regularly talked to and cuddled and brushed and played with. So cute!

replied to the topic Experts – HELP how to trim allowance? in the forum Spinning, Dyeing, Knitting, Sewing, Weaving 11 years, 8 months ago
Hmm well I’m no expert, but I think it means trim the edge of the material to be 1cm from the seam.
(You may have sewn 1.5cm in from the edge and just need to reduce the amount of extra fabric a tad).
The allowance is the bit between the seam and the cut edge of fabric.

I’d like to know more about the study and the statistics. I don’t see any evidence of this and I have a 6 year old.
I don’t know of any child in this age group with a mobile phone.

If it’s stress or settling in related a pheromone diffuser might help. They plug in the wall and release pheromones that will help calm a stressed or anxious cat.

I’m currently challenging myself to cut our usage by 5%. I retrieved a bill to find our average daily use is 12.6kWh so my aim is to get it down to 12.
So far I’ve changed a further 8 light globes to compact flouro’s and turned down the ducted heating thermostat another degree to 20 (and using it less). I am turning all appliances off at the…[Read more]

replied to the topic freezer costs vs food savings? in the forum Living within your means 11 years, 10 months ago
I think it comes down to how you use it.
I was given a chest freezer last year. Before deciding to use it, I calculated the energy usage & cost to run per year. I can’t remember what the figure was, but will guess ~$50. I figured I could save that and more across the year by freezing leftovers, cooking in bulk, purchasing sale items, etc…[Read more]
