Wow, what a fantastic photo! They are so talented.
We have lots of Carpenter Bees http://www.aussiebee.com.au/xylocopa.html here and a few stingless natives but i’m not sure where they are living.

What a great idea!
Lots of planning here but some of it could be done on the cheap, i.e. the trees would have grown from cuttings. It would just take longer.

:tup: Good on you Dianne. I’ve seen some homes for removal on ebay, :shrug: Maybe another option to look at.
I’m sure it will be hard work but moving and restoring an old queenslander will be well worth it. Be sure to keep us up to date with photo’s. -

Hi gianne, as a side note you might also want to wipe that concrete down with some vinegar to kill any mould spours that might be there.

Hi,
We have 4 Light Sussex and they eat a 9lt bucket of course mash a week (about 4kg) We have an 9lt automatic water container and i fill that also about once a week. They are nice as a snack.
Shell and peel them, then put the on an oven tray in a single layer. Lightly Spray over some oil and sprinkle over some salt and bake on 180 until golden. Yumo. :tup:
And yes, I too was fed them by my grandmother as a kid and hated them. My mother still won’t eat them.

Hi, we have been in townsville for a few years and I would recommend it.
