I squarely put the onus on others to do the research for themselves. There’s more to be gleaned from the journey of pursuing knowledge, than simply being directed by others.

Where you state “BOM is still sticking with their El Nino, at least until the end of the year.” Maybe you are referring to or should be using the term “ENSO” as in El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Using just El Nino doesn’t make what you are saying clear, because El Nino, Neutral and La Nina are events of the “El Niño-Southern Oscillation (…

The BOM has been reporting neutral ENSO for a few months.
At no point did I refute that, I even posted the link from BOM where people could read all the ENSO updates for themselves. My point was – the feedback of reported weather data is important for testing the Greenhouse theory – so reporting should reflect the theory. What happens when it does…[Read more]

What I always question is the “content” of what we are told not to believe.
My bold, just because I had to read it a few times to see where you altered the original statement. 😉
Either way (your way or mine) nothing is absolute.

Hi Snags
One of the predictions of the effects of global warming was unpredictable weather patterns.
I don’t blame you for this statement Snags, as it was made mainstream by those wanting to promoting Climate Change as a new field of science. But certainly there have been much older civilisations than our own, which already knew this…[Read more]

Hi Bullseye
It appears you are using an e.g. of viability in short term climatic factors that are indicators used for seasonal predictors for regional weather as an e.g. of lack of scientific understanding of global climate.
I was not protraying a lack of understanding about climate factors (on behalf of the bureacracy) but rather despite their…[Read more]

If the science is settled, then why is it that an El Nino weather pattern was predicted for this summer, and then suddenly an El Nina pattern emerged from nowhere recently? They aren’t saying the pattern has changed to El Nina (not yet anyway) but they cannot explain it’s sudden divergeance from El Nino, which all the data was pointing towards.

Fructose “is” energy dense food. Arsenic doesn’t kill people when eaten in limited quantities either. What does it do to your digestive process over a lifetime of consumption though? If you alter your digestive system through what you eat, you will alter the way “energy” is stored in the body altogether.
Cummulative effect, cannot be researched…[Read more]

I respectfully disagree there is no scientific evidence behind fructose being bad for the digestive system. The research into diabetes alone, documents the effects on all sugars in the body (not just fructose) and they’ve found not only is food high in fructose addictive, but it also impedes the digestive process in order to consume it in high…[Read more]

Blessed little angel. I’m so glad this turned out to be a happy ending. I knew a young girl who experienced something similar and died. Very heart wrenching. No-one wants to see that happen to a beloved child. I cried as I had a daughter of similar age, it seemed so unfair for someone else to have to lose a child.
It’s lovely to read of one, who…[Read more]

replied to the topic Coconut oil – where to find bulk amounts in Melbourne? in the forum Soaps and soapmaking 8 years, 3 months ago
I do plan to check Ebay (are there Australian sellers or are they based overseas) but I’ve got to do my research with local suppliers first. That way I can compare what’s the best deal. I imagine large quantities (as I’m looking for 2-5 litres) would come with heavy freight, which can make postage a bit expensive.
Thanks for the suggestion though. 🙂

The 2011 floods, was a huge eye-opener about insurance for us. It’s a financial risk you take paying upfront for incidentals (whaterver they may be) that the insurance fund may not actually cover in the end. When they have filled our claims in the past, it was at best, a third of what we paid to replace things brand new. Insurance just has never…[Read more]

There are differences between refined and extra virgin coconut oil, when it comes to consuming internally as a product. Read here.
For anyone who was wondering, the article coconutisking is quoting, comes from here.
If it’s just for external use, then refined coconut oil may be acceptable, but do read the research if considering consuming…[Read more]

I want to make the point that both “Cherish” and “coconutisking” only have one post, and it was made to this particular discussion. Both are making recommendations I encourage others to do their research on first.
Refined coconut oil has it’s downsides to human health when…[Read more]

Several things can contribute to deformities Melrose. Most common are low humity in the incubator, or having the temperature set too high. If you have a thermometer in your incubator, try to have it at the level of the eggs so you get an accurate measure of what temp the eggs are being subjected to.
I also did a post on my blog way back when I…[Read more]

Not sure if this is State or National, but in Qld at least, compulsory school age doesn’t start until they reach 6. I think my daughter started Prep at 4 and a bit. This was really too early for her (each child will respond differently). I didn’t realise until it was explained later, I didn’t actually *have* to send her to school during Prep and…[Read more]

You will come across those doctors that simply astound you with their ignorance. Makes you appreciate the enlightened ones.

Hi muster.
Whether the doctor agrees with self-monitoring or not is irrelevant, when it’s YOUR treatment plan. You are allowed to elect to self-monitor. If he won’t sign your NDSS registration form, then go back to the Medical Centre to ask for a doctor that will. They will have access to your files and you need only give them permission for the…[Read more]
