Hi Jarn, welcome to ALS.

I’m very interested in sustainable firewood as in the future my partner and I intend on having a wood stove for heating, cooking and hot water and will need to decide on what to plant in our woodlot.

It will be a number of years before we need to harvest the wood so early information will be of great use to us.
