Carol you sound like you were very creative.
I hope I can get some projects finished.
Hahaha I’ll try to remember about the fibreglass.
What do you think is the hardest bit? So far for me, it is getting what I have in my head into some sort of picture… but I’m hoping that is just practice
I’m glad to have found someone else who likes to do mosaics. What sort of things do you mosaic? I want to do some plastic plant pots. Do you think this is a good idea or too hard for a beginner.
That’s a great idea going to the tile shops. I’ll definately give that a go.
Ps.. I’m looking forward to getting addicted, lol.
Thanks for the replies ladies.
I will be getting some new pics up very soon.
And yes I love to share the garden. My sister who doesn’t garden thinks I’m “full of myself” when I want to show her around, but really I just love to look at other peoples gardens and love to share my own.
I’m so glad the people in the hospital were able to see your…[Read more]

Oh that would be wonderful. I really would love to have them. Please pm and we will organise it.
Hey Judi, I’m glad I have some in the pantry too. haha
Those recipes sound great.
I made some the other day with a recipe I found. They turned out okay and I just wanted to compare the recipe with others. The one I used didn’t have coconut in it and I used a cup of white sugar.
I also used plain flour not self raising. Do you think self raising would be better?
That slice of…[Read more]
Okay guys, it looks like we arren’t going to get any more replies.
Will we have a get together with just the 3 of us?
I don’t mind, I would love to catch up.
We can meet at my place or go up to McIntyre if that’s easier.
Catch you soon.
I still haven’t bought the spray that Steve suggested.
Does anyone have any other ideas of how to make something from stuff I will have at home.
I read somewhere once about a mollasses with seawood solution spray. Has anyone ever tried something like that?
thank you Steve,
Do I just get that at a Home Hardware shop or do I have to get it somewhere special?
We like to shop locally too, but it isn’t all that easy to dodge the coles/woolies thing. We get most of our meat from the local butcher. His prices aren’t that bad and his meat is lovely. We support the local grocer and the local bakery and even the local lolly shop.
We visit the local market when its on every month, but the fruit and veges…[Read more]
I think that is a great idea Dan.
Wow they sound yummy.
Where do you buy agave syrup from?
I’m thinking that if he was a carpenter, he may have used baltic pine for the floor. There are a few houses of that era that have baltic pine walls and ceilings, so why not the floors.
The funny thing about moving to “Southern Victoria” BL is that, we moved from there to here 2 years ago this April. LOL. Moving back doesn’t really interest me.
I have never lived in Tassie though and I feel the pull. 😆
I can definately relate to the “too much stuff”. I think we should have a cull here even if we stay. 👿
I think Tasmania sounds like a dream and one that we probably won’t do for at least a year. But I think doing the research is an excellent idea.
I would love to go for an extended holiday and look around properly. But to do that I…[Read more]
You guys are making my mouth water
It seems that there are lots of beautiful spots. What I would like for my budget probably doesn’t exist.
We did see a property on the internet in a place called Dromedary. Have any of you been there? I would like to know about the dirt there because I am currently working with concrete and am really…[Read more]
Hi and welcome
Bellamara lives really close to you, and I am not too far away as well.
I would love to catch up with you one day in “real life”.
Have fun on the forum.
It sounds like everything fell into the right places.
It will be great to get the move out of the way so you can settle in.
I am really excited for you and can’t wait to watch your journey.
Thank you Maree and Lizzie.
We are getting there slowly. We are having trouble trying to keep the water up to the new plants and the veges. But we are planning on putting in some sort of sprinkler system so that it doesn’t take us hours and hours to water.
Lizzie, we were going to put the wood stove into the kitchen, but figured that it…[Read more]
I thought I would share some of our short videos with you. These videos show you around some of our property. They were made a couple of weeks ago and the day was pretty windy and overcast but you will get the idea of what we have been up to in the last couple of months.
