Always worth a try, after the Blitz they found plants coming up in London where nothing had grown for hundreds of years, and just occasionally they manage to germinate seed from Egyptian tombs!
The use-bys generally indicate the expected time by which a 95% success rate becomes unlikely, doesnt mean you cant get 50% years later. -

Dont worry about the eggs, even little browns are very poisonous, and if this one had bit your chook would have died hours ago. They are all fine, no bites. Score 1 for the chicken, 0 for the snake. Shes a ninja give her a treat tomorrow.

Chickens hate snakes or anything that looks like them (try a long stick and you see them get into fighting mode) They have done the job for you, feel safe now, your ninja chooks defend!

yeah, maybe you dont want 5 week old dead bunnies. Male cats are loners but he has kept your place as his home, and when you come back I think he will zone back to your lap.

We did buy coles meat when my husband worked in the abbatoirs, could actually tell what was happening with it, nothing to worry about, but its expensive, and rather kill our own whenever we can.

I remember going to woolies to buy 2 onions and 2 lemons, not a big ask you would think. Had to go thru a dozen items to find two of each which werent soft. Excuse me, neither onions nor lemons go soft easily, how fresh is fresh?
Our postharvest horticulture lecturer offered to set up a course to teach woolies and coles staff how to keep fruit and…[Read more] -

I avoid whenever possible too, think I have bought a Green choice laundry liquid and found it as good as any. Wasnt blown away by the quality or anything, because of power we only ever use cold water for washing which just doesnt work the best with our quality stains.

portable cages, or chook tractors are great in this situation, simply made with plastic pipe and some netting?
At least start clearing an area, bare dirt is more promising than weeds when stuff gets out of control. Sortof a blank slate feel, but you might be surprised how much you find when you get into it, or coming up from seed with all that…[Read more] -

replied to the topic HELP!! I have REAL triffids growing! Been nice knowing you all………bye. in the forum Ornamental Gardens 8 years, 11 months ago
Its a sport, just a bit of a growth defect on that branch. I have had it on Echiums, and no chemicals anywhere near. Think the plant is a Pandorea? I have a similar one, but growing at only moderate rates with no water.
Cut off the weirdo branch if you dont like it, it isnt doing any harm to the rest of it. -
