I suspect places like Facebook have stolen a lot of the audience for forums, there is a certain appeal to being connected to all the things you like, plus your friends, all in one place. Perhaps the advertising and the invasiveness of it will get to people and they’ll come back in droves ha ha!

Steve Solomon recommends getting rid of mulch, and this is one of the problems he reckons it’s responsible for, as it forms a breeding ground for pests. You could try removing it entirely and see if that makes a difference.

Hi Nick,There is a search box at the top of the home page, and one on the page you arrive on if you click on “Discussions”. It doesn’t have a label for some reason, it’s just a bare text entry box, but if you type stuff in and hit enter it will do a search.

Hi Penny1765, You can edit posts for up to an hour after they are posted by clicking the little cog in the top right above the post. After an hour you can no longer edit. On the matter of previous usernames, I don’t think a solution was available for this, though Dan may have more to say on it.

Hi GirlFriday, Can you let us know which version of Firefox and which operating system you are on? I’m successfully using Firefox here, so it must be down to version troubles…

GirlFriday, it could be a browser issue, so try a different one and see if it works. If it does, let us know what type of browser you were using that didn’t work. Cheers

Seems this editor doesn’t get the “focus” straight away, hence the invisible cursor. :bz It does seem to have a lot of little smiley things to take away the pain though.
