I find in the stinking hot Perth summers, it gets very humid underneath the cloth and the plants wilt from the humidity 🙁

Someone on our PerthGumtree are selling then wooden chook pens, its written that they are not treated, made of ‘fir wood’, so that are animal safe, I wonder if the wood is termite/white ant resistant? Anyone know?

I’ve tried composting in the black cube shape type before, the type that have the 4 little access doors, I found it to be a REALLY slow process. They dry out too quick with all that ventilation.

I find the whole seedsaving and germinating the seeds all too confusing and a little hard, although I am self learning, and trying.
I’m a little confused about the amount of water I’m supposed to be using to first cook the quince (to make the pulp)
I have so far read of:
-1kg + half cup water
-1kg + 600ml water
-steam the quince
-water just to cover
I have 1.5kg of quince.

I can’t believe this topic.. What great timing! I got some olives yesterday from work to pickle! I got 1.2kg of the black ones, they are sitting in their first day of brine as we speak. I’m pickling them the same way as Dan has written, this info was also from the WA Olive Association, so it’s gotta work right??
