Sorry – haven’t pmd you yet.I’m sure you’ll need to be an indoor starter – warmth then seems to be key, although the trees grow OK here in the South Burnett, but most of the SB is not as cold as canberra.Garden Len on here had a lot of success with seeds I sent him.

An amazing tree for sure.I do have some seeds but they are last year’s I think, and they are not reputed to have long viability. I will contact the lady on whose property they are growing to see if she has any newer ones.

replied to the topic Planting Rosella in the forum In the Garden 7 years, 9 months ago
This is not the “normal” time to plant/grow rosellas as they usually like hot weather – around here we plant them in September. But having said that we had too much “hot” and way too much “wet” and my rosellas have only even started to look hopeful in the last few weeks – so I guess anything is possible! Go for it – and good luck!

Len our climate is probably on a par with yours. My asparagus is still a verdant green too! It will probably did back later to a brown dry stem and leaves. I have read to cut the dead stalks below ground level, as you do to harvest the spears .

Yes it is …..except that in some places the doggy-do bags are yellow and people tie them to the leash to be handy. Some people are going to be wondering why other dog owners give them and their dog a wide berth if they don’t know about the project!
I dare say there are all different coloured doggy-do bags out there.

Oh my! Hope you don’t have damage as well as being wet,Trandto. We are expecting some heavy falls again up here in QLD too , starting tomorrow.Last time we had over 300mm in 24 hours here, but we’re very spoilt as our sloping property drains perfectly and will never flood.

Thanks everyone , keep it coming.Great site Humbug.
I’ll investigate the thingy from Bunnings and ask some questions on the Kumbucha Mama site at the link I gave.I am receiving her free ebook – very informative.
Callie – plenty of fruit and nut ferment left – drop in sometime. The Kimchi we made certainly has a bite to it – a bit too much chilli maybe?
