This is great crystal! I came online today to find just such a recipe so thank you. What size casserole dish do you tend to use? I’ve got a medium oval shaped one that i hope will work ok, so will see how it goes.

Be safe everyone, and thanks for the oil of cloves tip. Just got back from a holiday to find mold on the wall from all the rainy weather, so will give it a swipe and see how it goes.

I’m interested in doing this but it will have to be February for me as i’ll be on a holiday in January (my last extravagance which i paid for before being retrenched at the start of December) It will be more of a need to not spend than a not wanting to spend at that point, but it would be helpful and motivating if there were others doing the same…[Read more]

I’m finding Harvest: A Complete Australian Guide to the Edible Garden by Meredith Kirton relly helpful as it covers everything from soil, climate, raising seedlings, pests diseases and information on a whole range of fruits and vegetables.
Though there are some really interesting books in this thread that i’ll have to check out too.

Just saw this today and it looks like a great idea! I have about 2 shelves worth of cookbooks at home and i do use some of them so i don’t feel to bad about them but this might motivate me to use the ones i tend to ignore more often than not. It is a bit hard as i’m only cooking for myself so if it’s not able to be frozen it may get thrown out if…[Read more]

Your blueberries look great congratulations
I planted a lttle blueberry seedling earlier this year and it’s had some flowers and the leaves look good so we’ll see how it goes but i’m not expecting much considering it’s just a baby still. Will have to keep in mind that they like acidic conditions as I didn’t know that, so thanks.
