Just don’t use green shadecloth. George used to work at a nursery and, for reasons I’ve currently deleted from my brain, he tells me that green shadecloth is actually not good for your plants. I’ll get him to post why when he comes home from work

I agree, earthwalker. You can only do waht you can with what you have! I think more people making small changes has more impact than one person making a big change. And, really, it’s heartening to see more recycled loo paper, free range eggs ect on the supermarket shelves as it indicates more mainstream awareness.We’re moving towards a little…[Read more]

We’re experiencing some weird weather here at the moment – hot and WET! All my destert plants (the ones that don’t like wet roots) are stuggling, but someothers are going gangbusters

It seems like (finally) we at least have the agents on our side. We are starting the ‘deconstruct’ process here – the loungeroom is full of boxes and we’ve been slowly been selling the stuff that we aren’t taking. I HATE packing!

We will not have very good internet after we move. We’ll be tv free for a short while, but we will probably be getting one, despite the fact we watch infrequently and are getting mightily sick of American reality show imports!
