A friend in QLD just sent me some cuttings. I have put them all in pots, some in morning sun, some in full sun and some in the shade. None are looking too healthy, but it’s only been a week, so I won’t give up yet!!

Exactly Sue. I also read that theya re trying to pass/have just passed a law in California that children can be vaccinated against their parents will and without their consent. So much for freedom of choice….

You could try just makuing the same recipe as you would for lemonade using lemons, but leave out the sugar. When it’s pretty much done, have a taste and add sugar a little at a time until it’s just right.

Many many years ago, there was a thread about birkinstock fakes, or was it seconds?? I only have a vague recollection of it. If you search with different variations on the spelling, you may come across it. It had a website where you could buy them cheaply…

I wanted to add that mine sleep on the floor, despite having branches, dirt baths and the nesting boxes off the ground.

The LCMs with marshmellows instead of copha are wonderful! Also, consider using cocnut oil instead of copha when making your choc crackles. Copha is highly processed and has no goodness in it what so ever, where as coconut oil (which is solid at room temp) has many many health benefits!! It’s available at any good health food shop.

replied to the topic Concrete slab/s in Chooken houses in the forum Backyard livestock 9 years, 7 months ago
Come to think of it, we didn’t buy the slabs already made. DH laid the aviary wire down and then poured wet concrete over it. He did make some sort of ‘dints’ with a thin plank, to make it easier if we ever have to break it up, so it looks like concrete pavers. rat prrof (so far) and easy to clean.

I must admit, if you put one of these on 5 acres of land, I could be quite happy. 🙂
I’m so tired of a house that constantly needs repairs…. -

Oh I wish I knew the answer but all I can say is that I hope you get this guy sorted out really quickly. What an absolute A-hole of man. Bad enough that he contaminates his own patch of the world, but to so blatantly damage so much 🙁 🙁 🙁

I would think comfrey roots are to big for such a small space?? What about annual herbs like basil, coriander, spinach?? Flowers – definitely calendular and yes, they are edible! If you want really bright colours, petunia or pansies, or more subtle colous, violas….

We have concrete on our chook pen floor, with a layer of aviary wire underneath it. We use lawn clippings, sawdust, leaves in authumn, and straw over it and our chooks have dry feet and so far, no rats!!
