Hello fellow sceptics and conspiracy theorists
Have any of you seen the Zeitgeist movie?
If so, what are your thoughts?
The best conspiracy theory will utilise various facts and put them together to make a picture .. like a jigsaw puzzle. I think the best analogy is a detective finding litle clues and putting them in order to build evidence to make a case.
I find my general distrust for ‘The Powers That Be’ and religion makes my mind ripe for this sort of thing, hence why I can find the movie plausible.
I’d be intersted in your views. B)
Another documentary worth viewing is ‘In Lies We Trust’.January 4, 2011 at 2:24 pm #486374
the links won’t open for me.
i mistrust politics worl gov inclusive, and all our civil leaders as well as religion.
they lie to teh people and manipulate them through setting up all sorts of hypothetical scenerios then back it up with lies and misinterpretations of events to keep people in constant fear, running around like chicken littles with their heads chopped off.
one recent scenerio which brings into doubt the authenticity of their oterh even media publishing, a central town was reported as being in its biggest record breaking flood even bigger than the 1991 flood. well i was in a position to ahve been there in 1991 and this flood still has not reached that level let alone eclipse it, the reason for teh lying to support the climate change fear hype. the picture they present is far from the facts.
there are many fear hype believers who use the conspiracy theory comfort zone to hide behind, yes there is a conspiracy but it has not been a theory for a long time, while minds use the comfort zone to block out reality then we are all going to go down together.

Thanx for that Len
Not sure why the links don’t work.
I will see if I can get it working. In the meantime, you can copy and paste the links into another webpage.January 4, 2011 at 4:15 pm #486376
That doco scared the hell out of me. I spent a logn time checking facts. Luckily, it is mostly bullshit.
A lot on Egyptology was wrong. The 9/11 conspiracy was the scariest part for me and I spent a lot of time on it. I didn’t bother with the US history because by then I was happy enough that the whole thing was designed to scare suckers like me. They mixed in a bit of truth with a lot of lies to make it sound convincing.
Don’t let it worry you. The facts don’t check out.January 5, 2011 at 11:09 am #486377
I’ve got a meta-conspiracy theory.
Conspiracy theories are all grouped together, the ridiculous with the true, so nobody believes the true ones.

The powers that be, government, religious leaders, military, treat citizens like mushrooms. This is corrected only when common sense and intelligence override propaganda, and we search for alternative answers outside the squareJanuary 5, 2011 at 12:12 pm #486379
In regard to other Conspiracy Theories, I’m excited by the presence of wikileaks. I’m anxiously awaiting the release of documents that show the “Moon is made of green cheese”. 🙂January 5, 2011 at 12:32 pm #486380
yep right on hey? believe in climate change and depleting oil and all other conspiracy theories/speculation/conjecture that abound around them, the i guess in their eyes the moon is made of green cheese, they believe the sky is going to fall and that the earth is flat so why not hey?
anything to support their comfort zones.

I haven’t seen the movie, though I just watched the trailer for the 2011 Zeitgeist movie. Looks interesting!
When my motivation to watch movies returns, as I’ve watched so many lately with all the wet weather (807 mm here for December 2010), this movie will be on my list. 🙂
There’s a working URL Official Website for Zeitgeist The Movie
