We have 3 chooks in our suburban backyard. They are about 4 years old and no longer laying. We have had mouse problems. Now our neighbour has complained about the noise and mice. We think it’s time to let them go.
So what do I do with unwanted chooks? I feel bad just getting rid of them because they no longer lay but we think it’s time.
I couldn’t kill them myself and I don’t know who would take them. Any ideas?
Have you tired putting them up on gumtree? Just be honest that they don’t lay any more but you don’t mind who takes them.
Why didn’t I think of that? I put an ad up this morning and someone is collecting them on Saturday. I’m going to miss them.
Time to work on the veggie garden now.
