I finished the granny rug I’ve been working on for the past few weeks:clap: 100 squares and no two of them exactly the same:confused: all the colours starting looking the same after a while 😆
We went to town and did some shopping looked at car for the boys a bit worried about one from Brisbane in case it has been through the floods.June 25, 2009 at 11:23 am #395881FatimaParticipant

Judi B that is a big rug and to do all the squares differently is amazing.
Cleaning day today for me. Oh well, I guess I will be able to sew this afternoon.
Misty had a check up with the vet yesterday afternon and is doing well, and has even put on some weight.June 25, 2009 at 8:16 pm #395883hillbilly girlMember
Well, it’s still raining. We have had over two inches in the last 24 hours – which is good news for the countryside, but does make it difficult to decide what to do today. It will be too dark in the house to do any work without using the spots and too wet outside to do anything but throw some food at the chooks and collect an egg if there is one. So I am at a bit of a loss today. Library later, of course as I have once again run out of books, but … well, no idea really.
ETA: Well, now it is daylight out there (sort of) I have been down to check on the chooks and give them some food. Their bedding is damp on top. While this could be due to them having gone to bed soaking wet, it could also suggest that the rabbit hutch is not as weathertight as it could be. So I am off to Hobart for some more chook food, dog food, cat food, and possibly a readymade run for the chooks – or at least something more weatherproof for them to roost in. Problem solved …June 25, 2009 at 11:47 pm #395884Eira ClaptonParticipant
I am off to my lovely sewing class in the hills this morning. Last day of our beginner’s quilt project -hopefully it will all come together.
Then I need to finalise some sandwiches etc that I am taking to my son’s engagement party tonight ! Love is in the air.
Should be a great night.June 26, 2009 at 12:08 am #395885TullymoorMember
Waiting for the mailplane, my pasta maker should be on board :metal:
Been out and bandicooted half a bucket of beautiful spuds, sown more sunflowers, picked greens for the rabbit and chooks, gave Monty a dirty look for keeping us awake all night with his woop-wooping and all-night mating session with Doris. She looks a bit tired, I hope she’s a bit pregnant :uhoh:
Oh, and it rained gently from about 4 til 8am, the best fertiliser you can get :clap:June 26, 2009 at 1:16 am #395886roundthebendMember
Had my walk this morning and then got stuck into the sweet potatoe vine that is threatening a major takeover of the vege garden…..will take a couple of attempts to whip it into shape. Then cleared the feral cherry tomatoes that are becoming a trip hazerd on the steps to the veggie patch………………should probably take it easy now seeing as i’m ” recovering”………….good excuse for a power nap anyway;):D
Nothing like that shower of rain to entice you back into the garden Tully:tup:………………..though HBG has been chased out of hers by the rain:lol:June 26, 2009 at 1:34 am #395887TullymoorMember
Too right RTB  What are your new guinea beans doing at the moment? Ours are still going strong and we’re picking metre plus length beans for the pigs and rabbit, I think they will be perennial here….like the capsicums and tomatos…. :tup:June 26, 2009 at 2:32 am #395888roundthebendMember
