Made a batch of plum sauce and started on another load of tomato paste. Still have an abundance of zucchini to do something with and also my cider apples. I keep running out of time.February 17, 2009 at 5:08 am #394816
between working on 4 different computer and site projects DH and I started discussing the pros/cons to finding a permanent onsite van in one of the QLD gemfields caravan parks, and making a semi-permanent move.February 17, 2009 at 5:31 am #394817Unrepentant HippieMember
I’m spending a totally useless day:noapprove: and loving it. It’s raining and after sending email support to St Mary’s South Brisbane, yesterday, have been awaiting the explosion of wrath from the conservative lobby. Other than that, washed my bed sheets and, of course, had to hurriedly bring them in, remade bed with fresh linen. I have been lying on the bed reading Deepak Chopra and Margaret Starbird until now, when I thought I’d look in. Now I’m off to feed the dogs.February 17, 2009 at 5:35 am #394818luvinMember

Today we returned to playgroup for ds#3. He loves it:tup:
DS#1 was called into work so had to do town errands with junior in tow.
Bought a pressure cleaner to start on outside of house cos it’s soooo mouldy now.:rip:
Got petrol for gennie or mowers (whichever gets to need it first).
Picked up DS#2 from school, collected mail, did chores, did slap up dinner, put everyone to bed and relaaaaxed here:tup:
Tomorrow I want to cook meal sfor my friend, vacuum out car (will go faster with better fuel economy with the kgs of dirt/mud removed from inside it;)), clean mouldy walls and maybe even get a bit of mowing done..but there’s always the next day:shy:February 18, 2009 at 9:04 pm #394821roundthebendMember

Have a good shop RTB:D Metal shelving sounds like a very good option:tup:February 18, 2009 at 11:31 pm #394823ChezzaParticipant
Rbt about shelving… A couple of houses ago Reggie made some shelves in our garage from heavy duty brackets and wood lengths (maybe 2″x4″) and they were about 50cm from the ceiling down both sides of the garage as you drive in…. Boy, could you store some clutter!! Up and out of the way but really easy to get to. Actually a few friends went home and got their hubbies to make them some!!:tup:February 19, 2009 at 4:22 am #394824
Well i worked like a trooper and have made several meals for my friend. They are the freezer here and the last one in the crock pot now.
I did house floor, 2 loads of washing, swept the shed (and it ain’t no garden shed either and vaccummed the car.
Now off to take DS to work and pick up other DS from school.
Have not got any windows cleaned, or sand shovelled out of gully or grass mowed or any more walls de-moulded:confused:
Ah well always tomorrow:tup:
Yes RTB in Tville we made all furniture and house hoseable if nec cos we got such a fright the yr it flooded and it has come that high in the yard there a couple of times since. SO glad we are not there! Even tho you still gots to clean it all out it will weather the storm and losses are far less and not so much stress either:hug:February 19, 2009 at 6:34 am #394825hillbilly girlMember
Today is animal removal day – the cats are champing at the bit to go out and the dog is happily playing with his tennis ball (inside the loungeroom), and I am sitting here feeling mean and thinking about four weeks without my babies …:(
The dog had a nice long walk yesterday with his favourite dog-walker so is nice and relaxed, but the cats …. they know something is up …February 19, 2009 at 7:45 am #394826
 hope the 4 weeks goes fast for you:hug:February 19, 2009 at 10:21 pm #394827supergranMember
