yesterday I cut up the limes for jam, picked and ate custard apples :p, bought a new ram for the computer, chased a snake from bantams cage, did several loads of washing and hung them on the normal clothes line (not in the shed) and got them dry in one day (last lot I took off line a rewashed after 2 weeks sitting on line::rip:)
TODAY we are expecting visitors for overnight (teenagers/young adults getting together) DS#1 has to clean his room and the spare room needs a mop out and freshen up, he will also need to cleanup the shed area where we entertain. I hope to buy new blades for the sole remaining push mower and get started on the ever invading GRASS, also been trying to get some seeds in to get a start on the veggies early so hope to get that done today.
Will make up the lime jam and hopefully the mango, mango/passionfruit and mulberry jams as well (all these for a cake stall for the school – at school we made 26doz peach blossoms, 12 doz lamingtons and 30 doz cream horns on Thurs for it as well) the fruit for the jams is currently frozen so I can do it anytime
Mozzies very bad at mo so need to keep DS#3 covered up – when he loves being naked:lol:
Have found out the DH’s illness has been caused be a tropical bacteria which he has contracted systemically and the vomitting etc came is ‘cycles’ as the bacteria built up to levels that became toxic to him inside he is on strong antibiotics now and his lesions are healing really quickly and he is getting so much stronger now. He is sooo thin tho – can cont his ribs:jawdrop:
DD has made her decision about her operation and we are now waiting on approval from the insurance co and the surgeon will schedule everything then. She is sick with stress about it tho and centrelink have decided they cannot accept his cert that she is unable to work with her hand how it is and that she will be unable to do so for some time due to her surgery they say they do not believe this and will not accept the doctors certificate or report – I wonder what medical training they have?????:@:@

Centrelink are a bunch of @$$’$. They often don’t even listen even if you have x-rays and physios from the hospital writing up the “sick” certificates.
Anyway I’m off to the Gardening Australia expo today woo hoo.March 6, 2010 at 2:48 am #440081Eira ClaptonParticipant

This morning we made a mad dash into town to get in some supplies as we’ve had a fair bit of rain and the yard is under about 25-30mm of water the gully started running a few days ago and we had some heavier rain last night so thought we should go and get some food in before the gully gets too high there is about 30cm over the causeway right now and it is still rising……might need a food drop if the rain doesn’t stop soon:lol:
I had to get out and pick up another short neck turtle off the road all the rain has made them start to go wandering.
I hope hippestrums like water as they are sitting in 50mm of it.March 7, 2010 at 3:36 am #440084narellehMember
Kasalia – such a busy time – hope the BIG day went well and you can all relax now….
Judi B – I am pretty sure that RTB had hippies sitting in flood water quite sometime last yr and they seemed to do ok…..
DH has made a small dent in the immediate area around the house with the mower – been 2 weeks since I mowed and there is little dif between where i did then and where I finished:jawdrop:
Have a nephew and 2 other visiting so house is filled with noise and laughter. Had pizza and crumbed fish with salad etc for dinner and pancakes for brekky – bit of a challenge as they all have gluten intolerance and I am not real used to doing that sort of cooking anymore but I did it well tho:tup:
have finished the lime maramalade – 9 large bottles and have done mango jam – 5 large bottles. Have started the mulberry jam now…..
Have done 2 loads of washing and DH has pegged it -OMG what is wrong with him????
Still waiting to plant seeds up……..
