OK.. I don’t expect this to go anywhere, but just on the off chance anyone in here lives near Hahndorf, SA..
My unit is flying in to Adelaide tomorrow morning to do a parade for the opening of Parliament House (at 230pm). Once that is finished, we are off to Hahndorf by coach for an overnight stay, then returning to Canberra Friday morning.
Anyone in the area, feel free to pm me, and I’ll try to catch up.
As said, this is a whirl-wind trip, so really don’t expect much to happen.
I am near enough, but not walking distance and have no transport,
Egad, Andre, you get around, are you sure your surname is not Leyland?
Cripes Andre I would’ve been in this and bought you a coffee at Hahndorf although it’s a very touristy town. But all this is occurring TODAY. So you won’t even see this post until you get back probably.
Darn shame that. “If I’d have known you were coming I’ve baked a cake!” 😆
Give us a bit more notice next time, eh?
Oh, well, Kaff, ya welcome to coffee at Kanmantoo at your leisure!
Gosh I mustn’t be paying any attention to the news – why are they re-opening parliament house???
Would’ve caught up too only there’s that time thing.. you know, never enough of it.
Hello all
All went well in Adelaide.
Sorry I couldn’t give further notice.
I had to leave it to the last minute as I wasn’t aware if we were staying o/n, and if so, where.
As it turned out, we arrived in Hahndorf – 3 coaches with Defence Force written in bold letters on sides and back – around 8 pm.
We got up at 0530 and wheels were rolling by 0700, then straight through to Canberra.
I just got in 10 minutes ago.
Anyone see anything on the local news? WIN had it covered I believe..
Oh well… perhaps next time.
All those guns and ceremonial swords and the pollies still got in without bloodshed, sheesh, ya weren’t trying, Andre!
