p.s. My favourite hippy mush:
1 cup of brown rice
1 cup of dry lentils (any will do – even a mix)
1 tin of kidney beans
A dash of soy sauce
Option: ginger, garlic and chilli
Cook the rice and lentils together like you normally would brown rice. With 10 minutes to go add the kidney beans and a good dash of soy (and ginger, garlic and chilli). Cook until mushy. Add another dash of soy. Done.
I usually top with a handful of salad greens.
