This is the very first meeting so there is a long way to go. We havent even got a committee or anything as yet. Hopefully the first event will attract some people who might be interested in putting something into place.

our second movie night is Thurs 29th November 7pm at the Environment Centre in North Beach where we will be showing:

‘The Economics of Happiness’ is a beautifully presented, thought-provoking movie that makes ‘acting locally’ an enlivening possibility in the face of corporate globalisation and the effects of climate chaos and economic meltdown. It’s ultimately uplifting, showing us a way forward that brings community and meaning to our lives – and hope.

If you are interested in Transistion Towns we would love to see you there

Don’t forget to put the date in your new 2013 calendar!

On Thursday 10th January, John Croft our guest speaker, will tell us about his experience of Transition Towns around the world.

Join us at 7.00 at the Henderson Env Centre for his presentation ” “BUILDING COLLECTIVE RESILIENCE: Living a Balanced Life whilst Working on Behalf of the Larger Whole”. An insightful speaker, his presentation is entertaining and full of stories of people taking action that is transforming neighbourhoods and the thinking of lord mayors and politicians!
