Most inspiring. I have two pallets outside -got slabs on because we are putting a floor down for our new shed. Now all I have to do is inspire DH to use them!;)
The timber bench tops look natural and can be made from almost any timber with only the texture of the timber being the guide. I made our kitchen bench tops out of two inch slabs of camphor laurel and we do love the grain. It can be a bit soft if the kids want to bang the edges with cast iron pots lolol. I built a kitchen for some friends a few months back and he want all the tops made out of iron bark. He had cut the timber some ten years before, looked good but sure was heavy.
