My sis has asked me to sew up a cover for her thermomix for Christmas. The only thing is that I am no where near her to measure it all up.
It is a little daunting coz I have never made up a pattern for anything and have no way of checking the fit…so, if there are any themomix owners who are also pretty flash on a sewing maching, could you please measure your thermomix up and tell me how you think it would be best to make a cover! I’ve seen a few great toaster cover patterns, but the thermomix is such a unique shape, I really need to adjust the pattern to suit. 😉
I’m crap at sewing but if you’re down Freo way, you can come and have a cuppa and measure my thermomix?
Alternatively, I reckon you’d have a demo person near you. If you google thermomix, it will come up with a list of contacts for demonstrators in your area… you could then contact them and ask to come and measure one up. I’m sure they’d be more than willing to help.
Good luck 🙂
Talking about thermomixes….. does anyone know whether a thermomix 21 will mill grain like the TM31? Would like to buy a thermomix but the price is too steep, so a second hand one is the way to go.
Dimensions are on this page: 🙂

FeyWind, I’m with you on the price – but is there such a beast as a 2nd hand Thermomix? My ‘when I win lotto’ list has one of these at the top.
There is a person from France selling secondhand TM21s on ebay…. I just don’t know whether they mill flour like the TM31s….. when I enquired it seemed we had a translation problem. If they do, I will probably buy one, but otherwise, yeah, when I win the lottery!
