Is it just too hard to get an answer to a question? How do I find anything in profile that mentions signature? I want to change or delete my signature pic!
This new site sux big time, I hate it!!
Not sure where or when you asked the question, Jewels.
Now that I looked, I can’t find the signature block either, but either way, I don’t think that minor detail is an excuse to be rude. Given time to get the glitches out, I’m sure the situation will be rectified.
Perhaps you aren’t aware, but only two people (I believe) work this site. I also believe it is a personal project that Dan is doing his best to improve for all the subscribers.
Joining is free, so I would think as no money was lost, and no reason to get uppity 🙂
anyway .. off my soapbox now …October 31, 2010 at 8:19 am #481180GiannaMember
I hate to say it, but I’m finding the page load up slower here than on the old forum. :huh:October 31, 2010 at 8:19 am #481181AnonymousInactive
Yeah it is a know issue (now that i have done the upgrade) that you cannot edit signatures when you have the community component installed.. I’ll be doing some upgrades tonight and some other little fixes, so hopefully it will be fixed up soon….
And yeah on a geek side there is only 2 of us, I’m only hack,,, Geoff is the real code monkey .:)October 31, 2010 at 8:20 am #481182AnonymousInactive

Really ?? I have the total opposite.. The old site was so slow for me.. especially going to the forum from the homepage..October 31, 2010 at 8:24 am #481183calliecatParticipant
it’s way faster for meOctober 31, 2010 at 8:36 am #481184jilumasamMember
It’s a little faster for me. It took a while to me to find the site as my bookmarks were directing me to the home page of the old site.
I think this site will work out well once we all get used to it. Like trying to find the right pages to open to have the list of recent threads etc…
I reckon by this time next week, I’ll have sorted it all out and will find my way around quite nicely.October 31, 2010 at 8:44 am #481185KarmaMember
I am finding it much slower that the old ALS, don’t know why, taking ages to load the page.October 31, 2010 at 8:46 am #481186WazzaMember
Thanks for removing the Karma thingy. Especially when someone said that the fearsome moderator Doc might come around and sort out anyone that went into negative territory. That’s a really scary prospect.October 31, 2010 at 8:53 am #481187AnonymousInactive

It worked, Sue e. That is if it’s a pale blue background with some nice pinky flowers on it. A very peaceful picture.October 31, 2010 at 10:10 am #481190
yay!thanks! i actually drew this on the paint program after being shown how by a bunch of prep kids at school. i needed the practice to keep up with them. just out of curiosity- what is the significance of “platinum boarder, gold boarder ” etc. just wondering…… 🙂October 31, 2010 at 10:19 am #481191AnonymousInactive
ok so as as profiles go, for now, there will be two
Your forum profile, and your community profile.
Avatar will stay the same through out 🙂 as will passwords
To change your signature , see your fave posts, and subscriptions, you can click on the profile tab with the forum now and you will get that info …..October 31, 2010 at 10:23 am #481192SteveKeymaster
Something else which might be useful is to have the date of previous posts. At the moment it states how long ago it was posted, which is fine for things that were posted today or this week but months and years ago it would be nice to know what time of year things were posted without having to work it out.
I’m thinking for instances for planting or harvesting things, where I’m looking for the time of year not how long ago it was.
Again just another suggestion
Vanessa, I’ve found if you hover over the time with your mouse, it will display the date and time of the post.October 31, 2010 at 11:52 pm #481193
i don’t seem to have an inbox tab on my profile. am i looking in the right place? thanks
