wow Kristy, I have absolutely no idea if you would be getting side effects from your contraception thingy. My sister had a little thing put in her arm when she was with her partner, she said that even tho she still got her period it changed hers, made them lighter but honestly I think it made her pmt worse . that is just my opinion (it could have been the relationship??), she has moved interstate since and I don’t know if she has had that thing removed. You could actually feel it under her skin if you grabbed her arm in the right place. :jawdrop: Freaked me out!!!
Hi Kristy, my obstetrician actually recommended not getting an contraceptive implant due to the side effects and the fact that your body doesn’t get rid of the ‘toxins’. I also had a friend have it removed as she had side effects from it.
Everyones different though and reacts differently to the hormones.
now this is a fascinating topic. It appears to be somewhat female biased tho I have only read a few replies so far.
My suggestion for girls is a “fanny washer”- Just take any squirty type bottle, fill with water- warm if you like, you can add a drop of essential oil of you want- it is great to use when one doesn’t have a bidet. Especially good for menstruating women. As you sit on the loo, you can squirt it all over the necessary parts and have a mini wash.
Anyone without a sewing machine can use recycled hankies as a cloth wipe. Just don’t blow your nose on them afterwards.
