Hi All, Simo here form Bullsbrook WA.
Jaymie from the BYAP forum is always talking up this forum and since I have plenty of time to kill at work I thought I would join another forum (I also frequent the backyard farming forum) to expand my knowledge.
I live on 5 pastured acres in the hills east of Bullsbrook WA, I have Australorps, wicking beds, an aquaponics system and a small orchard.
I am intersted in permacuture and self sustainability and I hope to one day have a food forrest set up on my block to produce all my fruit and veg, most meat (suplimented with game) and some of my grain needs.
Any way enough about me.
Hi Simo, welcome! This is a great site for learning and getting support, I hope you enjoy it here. Cheers.:)
Hi Simo,
Jaymie has good taste. This is a terrific forum.
Howdy Simo
Thank you, I feel most welcomed 🙂
Welcome Simo, hello to you in Bullsbrook, used to live up there myself for a few years, gorgeous there at this time of year. Heaps to read about here, great bunch of people willing to share their advice and experiences.
Hiya Simo,
Your place sounds lovely.
We’re in Freo on a weeny block… I need more garden to plant more veg!! run out of land … but hopefully not for long. Offer is in on some acreage down south… so will hopefully be ‘living the dream’ in the not too distant future…
Until then, it’s back yard farming for us!
We’ve got one little bantam australorp and a few other wyandottes and aracauna’s etc… I’d be very interested in buying some full sized Australorp chicks or fertile eggs off you if our land deal goes through?? They’re my favourite chooken!
Anyway cheers and welcome
Wow Simo! That’s one VERY productive 5 acres you have there!
Love to see some photos of what you do and how you do it!!!!!!!!
Welcome! Sounds like a lovely place you have.
