Sounds like my DS LLM 😆
At 8yo we had lunch at a local pub. The waitress came over to clear the table. DS pipes up ‘Hullo, that’s a lovely dress you are wearing. You look like you’ve had a long day. Here, let me take the plates to the counter for you’. 😆
And he’s still not changed. We had a recent visit to the emergency room with him and all the nurses were giving him the ‘special smile’ that women give young men who are being particularly charming 😆
He didn’t get it from me :tongue:November 25, 2009 at 11:31 am #440761
heheh:lol: oh heck Herbman I just know that’s what I’m in for :uhoh:
The boy has the ability to get a giggly smile out of even the grumpiest lady. Sure as hell didn’t get that charm from me either! 😆November 28, 2009 at 2:38 am #440762
I would love to come along, with a 3 1/2 yo and (by then) 5 mth old boys… oh and hubby too lol!November 28, 2009 at 4:02 am #440763
Maybe I can organise a trip to DD’s place in Samford valley and come along as well. Sounds great. Where’s Mt Cotton?November 28, 2009 at 4:05 am #440764
Oh Man! If only this one in May then we’d be able to come too as we’ll be up on hols 😐November 28, 2009 at 6:36 am #440765
Hermits – Mt Cotton is about 40km south of Brisbane. If you look at a map of Brisbane follow the SE Fwy until Loganholme (Bryants Rd), then follow Bryants Rd / Beenleigh Redland Bay road south east until you reach Mt Cotton Rd. Mt Cotton is about 5km east on that road.
Alternatively, look up Cleveland (on the coast) and then go about 15km south west.
Suzi – If you are up in May – feel free to give a hoi and we’ll see what can be organised 😀December 13, 2009 at 10:53 pm #440766
Hi there Herbman, I’d love to come and drag DH along with me. Will just depend on what’s happening with uni around that time. Also my niece is turning 1 at the end of Feb so I’m expecting a birthday party some time then too.
If we can make it I’ll derfinitely bring a plate and any spare produce we have.December 19, 2009 at 8:54 pm #440767
I love to come to depending on the date . Sounds great though:DDecember 21, 2009 at 3:01 am #440768
The GTG is to be cancelled.
Short story – I am no longer going to be an active member of ALS. Please don’t think it’s because anyone has done or said anything wrong. I will explain (kind of) in another thread.
Thank you everyone for your interest. It is a shame that it’s not going ahead. I will say though, that my door is always open to ALSers even if it’s not in a formal GTG setting.
If you are ever in the Brisbane area, please do not hesitate to PM me for contact details.
My door will always be open to you lovely peoples :hug:December 21, 2009 at 3:15 am #440769
