I was wondering, since I am not so good at sewing, would any of the clever experienced sewing ladies be keen to make a dress for me if I send the pattern, measurements, material, bits and bobs needed, plus payment for time making it of course?
If you would like to do this, please send me a message. I can email a pic of the pattern so you know what it is, discuss costs and we can go from there.
Thanks in Advance.
Hay there Jen, do you need the dress really quickly?
No, I’ve had the pattern for yonks now, wondering if I’ll ever get it made. I don’t feel confident to take it on, it is a 50’s dress! Nice!
I could have a look for you then. I just asked as I have a (next week) 3 year old and it is sometimes hard to work around him if on a quick deadline. You know how it is;)
I just bought a how to sewing book of smaller home items, and will try them out using some recycled materials I have found in op shops and pieces given to me by rellies. See how I go.
Still a long way off making a classicly gorgeous dress like that one. Like I said once before I have made a dress once and if I walk with one arm up in the air and the other scratching my ankle, whilst waddling, it may possibly look straight :p
Hi Jen. My internet server is completly down, am really sorry. will have to wait for them to fix whatever is the problem. Really sorry. will understand if you wont to ask around again.
I’d love to help out for you jen, but I’m already fully committed up until probably one week into June. If the time frame isn’t an issue, then I can do it for you.
Hey Jen:wave: my email is back up and I got your emails 😆
can see why you like that one. Not my type of thing but always liked the way they looked in the moves and things.
would you need alterations made or are you after the basic size?
not sure how we would work out before hand for the costings, did you wont a set price or a per hour amount? it would probablly take around 3 /4hours but is hard to say without reading pattern.
Sorry Dianne, I somehow missed this :shy:
It’s all good for now thanks for your help, but I do have a few more patterns I’d like made…..I’ll have to put some pics up to show them, all 50’s stuff that I am in love with  I’m an old fashioned country kinda girl….;)
