Can anyone suggest a good caravan site for renting a cabin/chalet for a 6 – 12 month period. I currently reside in the UK but looking to move to the Perth area at the end of the year for 6 – 12months.
Also, can anyone tell me the approx prices per month?

Hi Tom and welcome.Perth is a lovely city.Do you want to be in easy reach of the city,or within it’s boundaries,or further out? Don’t know if you plan to have a car but when visiting we were very impressed with the public transport system which is efficient and goes for a fair distance beyond the actual city.January 7, 2012 at 2:16 pm #518218julientuaregMember
I can recommend Karrinyup Waters Resort. It is well located with a bus stop at the door. The rates vary depending on the size of the accommodation and how long you stay for. There is a web site so you can check that yourself. Not sure if you are bringing a family but you might be better off to book in for a short time then look to house share. You can get a room in a nice house for around $150 a week.

thanks for the reply. Its just myself & my girlfriend coming over. Ideally we are looking to be next to a beach or a little outside Perth in a rural area. Probably going to come over in June for a couple of weeks just to check it out.
I’ll check out the Karrinyup Waters Resort website today. Thanks for the info.

When we went to WA 3 years ago we staye din a cabin in Middleton bus stop on the corner. Shops around the street walking distance. There was a lot of on site caravans and cabins and a lot of the people worked in the mining industry.
Would highly recommend the bus and their drivers in WA extremly helpful and freindly. We asked for a time table to get back to the cabin on the way to Perth and the driver was brillant and on the way back the driver of the bus stopped the connecting bus we had to take and asked him to tell us when it was time to get off and how to get back to our cabin.
When we got back home I looked up the web site and sent all their names and gave them the big thumbs up  for their service and help.January 8, 2012 at 1:04 pm #518221BlueWrenMember
Yes,public transport is brilliant ,they had the nouse to put the trains and roads in the same corridor so everything connects seamlessly.Heaps of free buses around the city, great staff, clean comfy buses.BRISBANE …….TAKE NOTE!!
You might like to look at somewhere like Scarborough on the coast, and north and south from there.Lots of nice beaches.
There’s not much “countryside” near Perth , very flat dry and sandy, but there’s the wildflowers in Sept/Oct to make up for that .The south coast beaches/towns are delightful.I could live in Denmark tomorrow.January 9, 2012 at 8:59 am #518222
