My onions have been in the ground for approx. 12 weeks now. They were grown from seed. How long do they normal take to mature and how do you know when they are ready to harvest? The stems are like a womans thumb thick if that helps. Thanks in advance for any replies.
6-9 mnths depends when you planted them…there ready when tips brown off but then u need to hang them to dry so they keep
cool. Thanks for that Stark so another three to six months then 🙁 I am so impatient.:)
My dad told me, plant out your seedlings on the shortest day of the year and harvest them on the longest day.
Bushy my dad told me that about garlic…so could be right as they similiar
