The Oatlands High Street Group has initiated a mini-farmers market to be held on the third Sunday of every month from 15 November. The market will focus on locally produced foods and products with an intention to keep the mix to 25% crafts, 75% foodstuffs. While I have nothing to sell this month it is my hope to become a stallholder as time progresses.
Anyone interested in attending it will be held from 10am to 2pm so plenty of time to get there, spend your money on great fresh products and to get away to do other interesting things in the neighbourhood.
Some local farmers will also be selling meat and there will be cakes, jams, you get the picture.
So come one, come all and support this local initiative. You could buy some food then have a picnic on the shores of Lake Dulverton (though not near the long grass as there are snake warnings on all the picnic tables at present … 😆 )
I would love to go to that and picnic on the shores of lake Dulverton -it would be reliving childhood holidays. Have you ever heard of anyone else who had childhood holidays in Parattah?????????
Now I live too far away but next holiday I am heading to Oatlands.
Not too many on line, but lots around town. There is a bloke at my timber merchant’s who grew up here. And my best friend turns out to be a Pennicott in her background etc.
