after going through 1st 6 months very dry just enough water available to keep it alive, in another month if rain failed then no water for the choko at all.
now after 5 months of good rain we have eaten many, this one just now ripe:
weighs 600 grams see measure length and around the girth 330mm, 2 more coming maybe the last frosts on the way when clouds go.
Woo hoo, Len! 🙂
My first one died
we had the driest dry season on record last year
The new one is enjoying the unseasonal rain right now but a long way from fruiting.
Lets hope we get a normal dry season and I will get some chokos too
