not a bad choko

    g’day,

    after going through 1st 6 months very dry just enough water available to keep it alive, in another month if rain failed then no water for the choko at all.

    now after 5 months of good rain we have eaten many, this one just now ripe:

    weighs 600 grams see measure length and around the girth 330mm, 2 more coming maybe the last frosts on the way when clouds go.

    My first one died

    we had the driest dry season on record last year

    The new one is enjoying the unseasonal rain right now but a long way from fruiting.

    Lets hope we get a normal dry season and I will get some chokos too
