Just wondering who usually thinks up the challenges as there havnt been any for a while? Is there a reason that we have been challengeless???
I kinda miss them, I got used to checking out the new challenge at the beginning of each month & have had a lot of fun & made some great changes because of them.
In any case I will keep checking in at the beginning of the month…..hopeful:lol:October 10, 2009 at 12:56 pm #436715
I know that “LIFE” has been a real challenge of my energy and time lately – I know others are in the same boat – maybe we need a challenge like making sure we do something nec for ourselves – like stop to have a coffee on the back verandah for a few minutes in the evening or to look at the stars for 5 mins before bed one night – the little things we leave out cos of lack of time – the things that feed the soul….
Just a thought……………….October 10, 2009 at 7:36 pm #436716
I lke that idea Narellah. The challenge to do something kind to yourself daily would be a good discipline for us all to learn.October 10, 2009 at 9:04 pm #436717
Narelleh – I like that challenge too.October 11, 2009 at 12:08 am #436718

yep count me in too, something I’m really bad at doing.October 11, 2009 at 3:02 am #436721
what about quietly sitting in your garden at whatever time of the day you can spare, and count how many different bird calls you can hear! making the time to tune into your surroundings sounds like a challenge we should all take on 😀 I do like the stars thought though. I do it nightly, as I get out of my car after work! 😀 Truly delicious to do (when it’s not raining).October 11, 2009 at 3:35 am #436722
osakasue used to do themOctober 11, 2009 at 4:00 am #436723
With daylight savings, the stars don’t turn up until after I go to bed, lol. Still I love gazing at them in winter. In fact I have asked the fire chief to get rid of the light on front of the fire shed and replace it with a sensor light so I can watch them uninterrupted by lateral light pollution.
Having a long hot bath by candlelight. Cooking a super well-balanced and beautifully presented meal with a nice wine to accompany it. That sort of thing (not that any of these are options for me at present, but I will stick with my sewing and other relaxing activities).October 11, 2009 at 4:35 am #436724
I like this challenge too so I am in
I sat out in the backyard before with a magazine,. let the rabbits out to frolic and looked over my vegie garden. Was just for half an hour but I feel really refreshed now.October 13, 2009 at 12:07 pm #436725
Looks like thats this months challenge!
Im in too, I seem to have forgotten to be kind to me lately, I think its all the grey days we’ve had, catching up on me. Think I might re write my “happy” list & make a point of doing 1 thing off it each day.
ThanxOctober 13, 2009 at 12:11 pm #436726
Does that mean any of us can get a challenge started if there isnt one? :geek: all this time I thought it was someones allocated job :shrug:October 13, 2009 at 12:26 pm #436727
Narelleh what a fantastic idea. I would like to add a proposal to your original idea and you can see what you think:
What about, for those who want to join in the challenge, if you make the topic something like “Things you do for yourself, no matter how big and no matter how small, to feed the Soul”.
