I’m trying without much success, to rehome my three goats. I rescued them all while I was at my previous property and after moving 2 years ago, its becoming clear that I really cannot keep them.
Everyone who comes to take them wants to tether them and as I rescued them from miserable tethered lives I want them to have paddock space and hopefully to stay together, so they end up staying with me.
I have two girls and a desexed male. I do not know what breed they are but can post photos if anyone is interested.
I live on the NSW central coast , near Morisset.
Please give my goats a home!!
If they are dairy i may be able to help could you please post pictures, i dont beleive in tethering
this photo is a few years old, they are wearing their winter coats. The one at back is the wether and the front is one of the females. The other female is much the same but has a beard. 😉
They are beautiful cordelia, I hope some one can help you.
PS: Is the ‘cordelia’ from Anne of Green Gables?
I hope so too!
Re: my name, it’s from Shakespeare’s “King Lear”. I believe my mother was reading it while she was pregnant with me. 🙂
🙂
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought it was illegal to tether goats???
They are so cute, wish i was closer! but it’s wishful thinking as i think 3 would be too many here for them to have enough feed. I really hope you get some luck and find them a great home 🙂
yep its illegal
the one at back seems to be a boar cross(meat goat) the front one is a rangeland(feral) that has thrown cashmere, they do this a lot. I am unable to take them as they wont be compatible with my guys, someone who could spin would be great for you as they can use the wool, good luck and i will keep my ears to the ground for you
thanks for that, every winter she grows the most beautiful coat, maybe I should just keep them and learn to use the spinning wheel I bought at the thriftshop last year….
