We have a mulberry now in its second season in a good spot and it is growing well. It is a dwarf tree -ie the mulberry is grafted in such as way as it forms an umbrella and hopefully won’t get too big.
The thing is, the fruit is kind of small and thus hard work to pick. Is there anything we can do to improve things?
My fear is that this kind of tree doesn’t have big juicy fruit!
The dwarf fruit trees I have it doesn’t make a difference to the actual size of the fruit they are of normal size. Maybe the tree needs more water or nutrients Just a thought.
