Microplatic — scary story!

Wow, this is seriously scary stuff! According to this BBC news story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-16709045 the world’s oceans are full of tiny bits of “microplastic” that they reckon comes from washing synthetic clothes! A very good reason to stick with natural fibres, I’m thinking.
Yes I have heard that and all the other plastic floating means the oceans are just a giant rubbish dump. Also heard that polution goes out about 200 klm from the coast so that means all salt water fish are no good for eating. Might have to grow your own fish as well as fruit and veggies. Ahh well back to the drawing board.
Thanks for the story and the link mudhen.
