Hi all
Just a short tutorial on how to make a url link that you can click on and that looks cool
Open the web page that you want to link to and copy and paste the address by highlighting the address and pressing the Ctrl and C keys on your keyboard.
Log onto ALS and go to the thread that you want to put your post in.
Paste the link into the post box by pressing the Ctrl and V keys.
You now have a link that looks something like this:
Do not worry if the link is split up. The post box is small but the finished result is in a bigger box…you will see.
To make the link work highlight the link by clicking at the start of the link, holding down your right mouse button, dragging your cursor across the link and let go of the left mouse button thus:
Whilst the link is highlighted, press the url button under the post box and the appropriate codes will be added at the beginning and the end of the link
This is enough to get the link to work and looks like this in your post:
This is optional.
Edit the url code so that you lose and add at the right places and insert your words
Looks a lot cooler, eh :metal:
Really, really optional, now.
Highlight the text you added and whilst it is highlighted click on b and u under the post box
Now how cool have you got :metal: :metal:
Hope this helps
