My grandson loves playing with my fingerless gloves so as his 9th birthday is coming up I thought I’d make him his own.
Now I’m not the worlds greatest knitter or the fastest but I have dabbled in the mysterious world of knitting but have only made beanies or scarves.
I thought he would be waiting for ever for them but I managed to knock them over within a week!
Even surprised myself at how easy it was to make them, usually the instructions are way over my head but I improvised and got it right anyway 😉
He calls them his HULK HANDS  he even wore them to bed last night.
Well done Karyn, it’s great to get adventurous and extend your abilities in craft areas I reckon. The gloves look great, love the colour.
My mum would knit fingerless gloves for my brother who worked in the freezer room or cool room of a large company. He loved them.
Mum also knitted them for Mr Bobbs and they are still being used.
I really enjoy knitting gloves and socks, I find it very soothing.
Bobbs
 Well done Karyn, fantastic job
They’re fabulous Karyn – well done!!
They are terrific Karyn. Most of the time we just have to give these patterns a go.. and it’s surprising how simple they really are. Well done 🙂
Great work! They look impossibly complicated, but nice to hear that it worked!
well done, they look great
Thanks everyone, at one stage I did make a whoopsie and ended up knitting a whole thumb part till I realised it didnt look right had to unknit 11 rows but hey then I got on the right track and viola fingerless ones appeared.
Humbug you are exactly right about having a go at things outside our normal capabilities and finding just how easy they are to achieve.
well done Karyn, you will be the best Nanna in the world.
Whoever invented knitting was a genius! It never fails to amaze me what can be done with a few “sticks” and some wool. They are lovely gloves Karyn. My excuse for not being a Knitter Knanna has been we live in Queensland but after this last winter that excuse is blown!
Wow they are great! And I love that he wore them to bed, so cute!
