I am after one of these trees. Besides diggers any suggestions where I could find one in Adelaide

I saw kiwi berries in Coles the other day – I nearly bought a punnet to try. Would the seeds be viable?

I got mine from Diggers. It grew well over summer so hopefully it will bear fruit next summer.

We had lunch with friends a few weeks ago, and she had some of these on a fruit plate for dessert – they were really nice! Tasted very much like a kiwi but without the fuss of having to peel them. Might have to look into getting a plant as well.

Just a slight cautionary note. Some kiwiberries are self pollinating others need a male Heywood Kiwifruit to cross pollinate. If you have a small garden self pollinating kiwiberries are great but to manage a large and heavy Heywood male as a pollinator can be problematic in a limited space if your choice needs cross pollinating. So choose carefully.
