I want to reply to some posts but I am having trouble posting I type out a reply hit “post” and wait and it just goes back to the thread with out my post so I try again, and again if it isn’t there after the third try I give up.

I’ve heard of other members who’s posts were seen and then vanished
and they weren’t even narky ones 😉March 24, 2010 at 10:09 am #458450Lady BeeKeymaster
It can be a time-out problem, Judi or you could be trying to reply to a thread which has been moved/locked since you started typing.
Is there a particular thread where this is happening or is it just random?March 24, 2010 at 10:54 am #458451
Random really has been happening for a few weeks now.
Last night it took me 3 tries to post in the Swappers… All you 2010 Home made swappers.
Took 2 tries to start this thread.

It looks like several comments that I posted have gone missing..been thinking about calling it a day..March 24, 2010 at 11:36 am #458453
Mine didn’t even get on so nobody saw them so couldn’t have been offensive…. I haven’t been nasty or anything here, mind you there is a lot of swearing going on at times.March 24, 2010 at 9:18 pm #458454DocMember
…so it is not just me then
This is the second time I have tried to post this :jawdrop:
Have no fear, conspiracy theorists, it seems to be a technical glitch not a campaign against posting in threads. When that happens we will let you all know 😀
Continue to post your non-narky, non-missing posts, and do not let paranoia get you carried away.
I will let Geoff know.
Make that three attempts :geek:March 24, 2010 at 9:36 pm #458455
Interesting problem?! A couple of questions for those afflicted by it:
1. What browser are you using ( + version number if possible)
2. Are you using the quick reply, or going through to the full reply using the “New Reply” button?March 24, 2010 at 10:03 pm #458456DocMember
Both quick reply and New reply, also emails.
Type missive (and copy all), press send or review missive disappears. Having paste copied missive and repeat – everything is ‘normal’ most times
Oops, Second attempt at Quick ReplyMarch 24, 2010 at 10:53 pm #458457
When you say emails, do you mean PMs?March 24, 2010 at 11:29 pm #458458MargoMember
I just tried to tried to reply using the quick reply option and it didn’t post.
What I said was that my original problem was a post I made a couple of days ago (nothing evil in it) disappeared 24 hrs later. The original message posted fine. I didn’t delete it and I have no idea why/how it was removed.
Using firefox 3.6 and Win7March 24, 2010 at 11:42 pm #458459
Where abouts was the post that’s disappeared? I can have a look and see if I can find it.
We generally cannot delete individual posts, we usually have to edit over them, or remove the entire thread.March 24, 2010 at 11:49 pm #458460
