New Service for old industry?
Bring back the old idea of family/friends keeping vigil throughout procedures to satisfy themselves
that all due care has been taken.
Just say, in the case of a straight forward death at home
whereby Doctor can issue a certificate and no post mortem required.
Family can dress the deceased and have an “at home” time briefly
(depending on weather!) while family and friends say goodbye.
Can even transport deceased themselves (if use the required containment) and funds are low
or via the local funeral director’s hearse to church or crematorium.
As a New Service in the industry, the funeral is held immediately and the deceased is cremated straight after.
If no service to be held the deceased can be immediately cremated, in both cases, while you wait in full view
of all procedures.
(I think cremation takes about 90 min, then another 90min to cool ashes which are brushed straight
into box/urn. See (non gory cremation) You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHBaCZ3slis )
The point is that you are present at each stage and have satisfied yourself that all due care has been taken.
I would be willing to put my name down for a composting version maybe with a tree planted afterwoods
