Not sure if it’s okay to put this here but we have a small hydro station just down the road from us, no Dams involved 🙂 Wondering if anyone was interested in helping by signing the petition to help it reopen. The renewable energy helps reduce carbon pollution as well and has been doing so for many decades
It was closed in when the floods last year (Feb 2013) burst the pipes.
Additionally, it aids a a wonderful sporting centre, the Nymboida Canoe Centre also provides employment for some member of our small rural community. The hydro water is harvested from the Nymboida River, through pipes (that burst and why it’s shut) into Goolang Ck, then into the Orara Rv and back into the ultimate destination, the Clarence Rv . It’s been a training ground for Olympic Medallists as well as general non polluting recreation in canoes, kayaks, rafts and tubing.
Heres’a picture of my partner having fun
The small local community would love to get as many signatures as they can, they have an online website for online signatures for NSW residents and those not in NSW at the web site here
Thanks in advance for any help !
Know it well – where is the petition?
