I’ve got my poor Lemonade tree full of flowers with some fruits, even after harvesting about 20 full fruits yesterday! So I can tell we’d need to use the fruits well to make up to the tree… 😉
So I am wondering if anyone has a great Lemonade recipe using Lemonade fruit, rather than lemon, orange, etc?
Time for me to harvest the elderflowers to make syrup and cordial – can’t wait! :woohoo:
Cheers with thanks!
You could try just makuing the same recipe as you would for lemonade using lemons, but leave out the sugar. When it’s pretty much done, have a taste and add sugar a little at a time until it’s just right.
Thanks Anja! That what I figured, my DH’s a bit nervous about the amount of sugar.
How should we keep it in for how long, etc?
My kids just love Lemonade as it is – squeezed straight into glass, however I’d like to stretch it longer so all get to have some over the next few days, etc… but usually get stumped by the idea of ‘preserving’ it as full-strength cordial, kwim?
I’ve already freezed Lemonade juice in ice cubes, however the freezer’s very full, so it has to be in pantry or fridge for the next few months. After I’ve made citrus sorbets and plum jams, etc., then the freezer’s good once again for freezing.
