hi,iam new here and would like to introduce myself.can i start by asking has anyone else had trouble growing zucchinnis in the sydney/hills district??Iam not sure if all the rain we were lucky to have over xmas was to blame but mine were covered in mould:]and didnt respond to the milk and bicarb spray.they are out now anyway, any thoughts??
Welcome, kimmy. I can’t help with your query, but I’m sure someone will.
I used to live in your area, and humidity/ summer rain will cause moulds and fungus on zuchinnis. milk and bicarb is more of a preventative than a cure. I usually dust the leaves with Sulphur powder when I notice mildew and it usually stops it in its tracks. Be careful not to use too much as it can taint the taste of the fruit etc. but I dont think the taste is all that bad.
