I just noticed one of mine fruiting today

    Took about 2 years

I have maybe 20 or 30 of them

I have only had 3 fruit in over a decade they are not treated with enough love but I will work on that over the next few months and see what happens.

They do take some time to go to fruit and the sweetest fruit ripen in the warmer months. The real bugbear for me was weeding around them as they are spikey little beggers!

    dont worry

I have really crap soils and where the pineapples are is even worse.

Inside a hollow brick wall with really horrible sandy hydrophobic soil that gets sun-baked and rarely gets water and no fertiliser.

them just being alive is a miracles

Fruit is a just a pleasant but unbelievable surprise.

I will move a few into better dirt and throw some cow poo and water around in a few weeks when I sort out my other jobs
